Bimetallic Extruded Finned Tube
Bimetallic extruded finned tubes are composite tubes made of two metals with re-rolled fins, such as copper and aluminum finned tubes, steel and aluminum finned tubes, copper and steel composite finned tubes, etc. They feature a compact design, low thermal resistance, good heat transfer performance, strong corrosion resistance, resistance to deformation under long-term hot and cold conditions, and long service life.
Extruded finned tubes (bimetallic finned tubes) have the following properties:
Cold extrusion is the manufacturing process.
Excellent fin-to-tube bonding.
Excellent heat transfer efficiency.
Mechanical resistance: Very good (as a result, unlike other finned tubes, it can be cleaned frequently with a high-pressure jet). This results in reduced downtime and extended overall lifespan.
Corrosion resistance: Because it completely covers the base tube, it provides excellent corrosion protection (except for exposed ends).
Temperature range: Up to 300 degrees Celsius.

1. Copper-aluminum finned tube: A copper-aluminum composite tube rolled from fins after composite processing. It features a tight bond, low thermal resistance, excellent heat transfer performance, high strength, low flow loss, and strong corrosion resistance. It is not easily deformed under long-term hot and cold operation and a long service life.
The entire rolled-up fin is smooth, burr-free, and wrinkle-free, making it easy to clean. In heating and air conditioning projects, wet cooling easily removes condensate from the outer surface of the fins. It is also less prone to dust and pollution in heat exchange and heating applications.
2. Steel-Aluminum Finned Tubes The processing technology of steel-aluminum cold-rolled finned tubes involves forming bimetallic tubes from aluminum and steel tubes, then mechanically cold-rolling them to form finned tubes.
Based on the physical properties of aluminum tubes, a finned tube is made with a steel core and tightly bonded to cold-rolled aluminum fins.
Features of Bimetallic Finned Tubes
● Improved heat transfer efficiency within the effective space.
● Reduced installation space required for the heat transfer surface.
● Reduced equipment costs while improving operational reliability.
● Lower operating costs due to lower tube-side pressure drop.
● Increased tube rigidity. Improved pipe seismic resistance.
● Enhanced heat transfer, reduced flow resistance and metal consumption.
It is widely used in the steel, petroleum, chemical, machinery, shipbuilding, power plant, hospital, and food industries.
